Kathy was 44. Beloved wife of Kevin Cande and loving mother of Tyler and Torie Cande.

Kathy's life made our lives and the lives of thousands who love gardens and gardening happier. Kathy's life ended in fall as nature takes its annual rest. Next spring, as gardens come to life we will be thinking of Kathy and all the beauty she created.
One of the things we admired about Kathy was the vision she brought to building Beds & Borders. Kathy was always focused on how to use well known, unusual, and new plant varieties in the garden, and then educating and sharing those ideas. Improvement was always her mantra, focusing on beauty and garden use first, then worried about the logistics of production and shipping. Kathy was also passionate about having Beds & Borders be an exceptional supplier in terms of quality, breadth of plant offerings, service and sales support, and you can continue to count on it in the future.
